Hand-set, three color print

Hand-setting dozens of small ornaments requires some determination, focus, and attention to detail. I used this piece to inspire my first personal identity system because I felt it nicely represented my approach to design. Due to the nature of letterpress printing, and the complexity of the design, I could not completely anticipate or control the outcome. My process is generally quite methodical, but I strive to make space for the happy accidents.
