This poster attempts to document the growth and spread of the Punk movement. It also tracks my learning process, as I didn't know a great deal about the movement beforehand. While immersing myself in the posters, books, documentaries and music I attempted to visualize its spread. I focused on relationships and influences, I had a large piece of paper tacked up in my dining room, I moved around and rearrange band names as I learned more about who was influencing who and where. To achieve authentic punk grit nothing was done on the computer*—erasure, whiteout marks and misspellings were all left in.
