Built by Becket
Architect Welton Becket is responsible for many signature structures that contribute to the Los Angeles landscape; yet, many Angelenos have never heard of him. This concept was developed to promote a possible exhibition of Becket’s work at The Geffen Contemporary. I wanted to utilize the structures built by Becket to publicize the show and draw attention to the buildings themselves. My concept was to fly large red balloons above twenty-three of Becket’s most prominent buildings. The image of floating red spheres informs the graphic language of promotional material and visually unifies the experience.
